The hirer shall be solely responsible for the condition of the "container" from the time of delivery to the hirer's premises until collection there from by ABC Skip Hire (hereinafter called "the period of hiring") and the hirer hereby agrees to take all necessary precautions to ensure that it shall not be a danger or a nuisance to any persons or property whatsoever.
The customer will advise the driver as to the proper positioning of the container. The customer warrants as a term of this contract that the site provided for the container is suitable, and that he has every necessary authority or licence which may be required in connection with use of the container.
(a) The hirer shall indemnify Portadown Recycling against any claim in respect of personal injury to or the death of any person arising out of or in the course of or caused or contributed to by the "container" its use or situation or otherwise in connection therewith during the period of hiring.
(b) The hirer shall indemnify Portadown Recycling against any claim of whatsoever kind in respect of injury trespass or other damage of whatsoever nature to any property real or personal arising from any negligence, omission or default on the part of the hirer or its workmen or sub-contractors or from the breach of statutory duty by the hirer or its sub-contractors or from any cause whatsoever arising out of or in the course of or caused or contributed to by the "container" its use or situation or otherwise in connection therewith during the period of hiring.
It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the container is loaded in a manner which is safe and that the material is loaded level with the sides, not heaped.
The container shall not be used for the deposit of any hazardous, noxious or offensive material, including foodstuffs, computer monitors, televisions, paint tins, aerosols, gas bottles, tyres, fridges, freezers, fluorescent tubes etc.
The container shall not be used for burning material therein and the customer shall be held responsible for the necessary repair or replacement of the container or any work required to be effected as a result of misuse of the aforesaid container and in particular, in direct breach of the clause.
The customer is responsible for providing, in accordance with the Roads (Control of Builders Skips) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1981 and 1993, adequate coning and warning lighting for the container.
The waste which the hirer can place into the containers for disposal any general waste item which is not within our non-permitted waste list.
Our price includes a one week hire charge (7 days). If the container is on site for longer than one week you may be charged a daily/weekly hire rate depending on how long you have had the container for.ABC Skip Hire Ltd reserve the right to collect any skip that has been on site for longer than 1 week without any written extended agreement in place by a senior manager of ABC Skip Hire Ltd.
Hardcore rubble skips are only to be used for the builders or 20 yard skip.
Payment is strictly on delivery unless you have set an account up with us. If payment is not received your account will be placed on hold and no skips will be delivered until the payment is received. Extended credit can be set up for clients requiring large volumes of skips (trade references will be required along with other information for an extended credit period).
If you are paying via credit card, PLEASE NOTE we charge a 3% charge for all cards. This is a fee imposed on us from the banks.
Any refunds or cancelled skip paid over the phone will incure a £10 adminstration charge.
